Nuts for the Holidays

In a study out of Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, epidemiologist Ying Bao, MD, ScD, studied nearly 119,000 adults. Those who ate one ounce of any kind of nuts each day were 20% less likely to die of any cause over a 30-year period than those who didn't eat nuts. Why do nuts have such a positive impact on peoples' health? Nutrient-rich peanuts and tree nuts such as walnuts, cashews, and pecans help ward off cancer, heart disease, and life-threatening respiratory conditions. To boost your overall health, eat a handful of raw or dry-roasted, unsalted nuts every day.

Of course, a healthy diet plays a big role in maintaining your overall health, but routine chiropractic adjustments also help you stay healthy, particularly during the stressful holiday season. Call us today to make an appointment!
